Renewals aren't guaranteed:
Renewals for inter-library loan (ILL) items are approved by the lending library, not by Hollins University. Be aware that your request for a renewal may be denied. If this happens you must return the item to us by the original due date, and place a new request. We will be happy to borrow another copy of the same item for you.
Returning ILL items when they're due is part of being a good steward of the resources we all share. Keeping ILL items beyond their due date risks that other libraries will refuse to lend materials to Hollins students and faculty in the future. Your borrowing privileges may also be blocked until all items have been returned. Thank you for your understanding, and your stewardship!
To request a renewal:
If you do not see "Renew request" that means the lending library will not allow renewals on anything they lend. What you can do is return the item you have borrowed, and place a new request. We'll be happy to borrow that same title again from another library.
